Javascript (particularly within Node.js applications) is one of the most widely used and in-demand programming languages today. This class is an introduction to Node.js. We’ll use Node’s Express framework to quickly create our own powerful and highly flexible web sites. Some features to be visited: templating (using pug or handlebars), interface design, authentication, and simple use of databases (Sqlite3).
Some experience with any kind of coding (Javascript, HTML, Python, Java, C# etc) is helpful but not strictly necessary.
This class meets via Zoom on Jan. 13, 20, and 27; and Feb. 3, 10, 17, and 24.
