This class is an introduction to web coding. Learn how to create and customize your own web site using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Besides learning essential HTML, we’ll cover site organization, page layout, the DOM, and a little about what makes up a web “stack.” While the focus will be on HTML (content/structure) and CSS (presentation), we’ll dip into Javascript a bit (the coding language that handles a lot of the interactivity and dynamic aspects of web development).

We’ll also learn how to use Bootstrap, the wildly popular CSS framework that makes everyone’s lives a little bit easier 🙂

This class meets on Jan. 10, 17, 24, and 31; and Feb. 7, 14, and 21. (Jan. 17 is a federal holiday, MLK Day; students who miss this class will be given a chance to make the lesson up via Zoom.)
