Jan. 24: Memes ‘n Minecraft
Grades 3-8.
9:00 am – 3:30 pm. $95.
Max enrollment: 10 students.
The morning session will focus on learning to use Adobe Photoshop to manipulate photographic images. Unpacking these skills will open valuable discussion topics deeply relevant to current culture, including: impossible beauty standards, celebrity worship, and deepfake technology. We’ll also replicate some popular meme formats and try to figure out what makes some of them funny.
In the afternoon, we’ll relax into the peaceful zen of Minecraft world-building, with the assistance of some new and exciting mods!
