This class is especially designed for students just beginning their coding journey with Python. It’s also appropriate for beginning Python students continuing their studies from the fall session. Prior experience with the language is not needed, although some familiarity with Scratch might be helpful.
We’ll start with a quick review of programming ideas in Scratch, then we’ll jump into Python with Turtle graphics. After learning about loops and conditionals by getting our computers to draw cool patterns, we’ll build a series of fun and challenging text-based projects, like fortune tellers, quizzes, games, “personality testers,” and more.
This class will meet on Dec. 5, 12, and 19; Jan. 9, 16, 23, and 30; and Feb. 6 and 13.
