Testimonials

Engaging Curriculum

Wyatt REALLY enjoyed this week and learned so much that he’d been curious about. Each day he’s come away from the computer happy and said, “That was so fun! Look what I made!”
—Tobey, third grade parent

Making Learning Fun + Challenging

Lazlo’s time with you is the highlight of his week.
—Teresa, fourth grade parent

Dreams Big and Small

Jackie’s dream is to build her own web site by coding and designing it!

She LOVES you and your class. So grateful.
—Mariana, fifth grade parent

Personal Connections

Adrian absolutely loves having you as a teacher and he was basically running towards your house when I dropped him off on Saturday. So thank you for sparking this interest of his and cultivating it. He wouldn’t be doing this if it weren’t for you.
—Anuj, fifth grade parent

Creative and Technical Domains

It’s the first and only camp where my kids come home saying “Mom! We had so much fun today! When do we get to go back?”
—Jody, sixth and third grade parent

The Thrill of Discovery

I would really like to thank you for putting on the camps. You taught me so much, and now coding has become my favorite activity to do all day.
—Quincy, seventh grader

Coding

Anyone can learn to code. Our students range from absolute beginners to developing Pythonistas to web hackers.

Engineering

Students identify problems, then design, test, and refine solutions.

Media Literacy

Gain an understanding of our heavily mediated world through instruction in image editing, meme building, and web site construction.

Learning Environment

DEV / Lab is located in sunny Potrero Hill. Our teaching space occupies a large, open, recently remodeled flat on a clean, safe block, with ample parking available.

We provide all technology needed—laptops, tablets, servers, Raspberry Pi’s, and Lego Mindstorms EV3 kits. We run filtering software on our network to keep students on task and productive. Enrollment in all classes and camps is limited…by design!
